Senior Spotlight - Jon Pomatto

Jon Pomatto is putting together an All-Conference season in his senior campaign with your Northwest Missouri State Bearcats.  Jon has started every game in 2014 and played right field.  On the year, Jon is hitting .368, 37 runs, 35 hits, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs, 20 RBIs, slugging .526, 19 walks, 1 hit by pitch, 13 strike-outs, .474 on-base percentage, and has stolen 4 bases in 5 attempts.

Jon is leading the team in the following offensive categories:

Runs scored
Hits
Triples
Total bases
Walks

Of the players seeing regular playing time, Jon is leading in the following additional offensive categories:

Slugging percentage
On-base percentage

Jon is 2nd on the team with 11 multi-hit games, 3rd on the team with 6 multi-RBI games, has had the 2nd longest hitting streak on the team at 13 games, has had the 2nd longest safely reached base streak at 18 games, has hit in the 2-hole, 5-hole, 6-hole, 7-hole, and 9-hole in the line-up.


In addition, Jon has been the team's closer in 2014 and has a 4.91 ERA and a team leading 3 saves.
