Bearcats lose first three to Washburn, game four on Sunday

Bearcats lose first three to Washburn, game four on Sunday

Your Bearcats have had a tough start to the Washburn series so far this weekend.  Washburn has defeated your Bearcats in each of the first three games of the series.  Of the 28 games the Bearcats have played this season, all but 5 have been on the road.  Your 'Cats have been playing hard in the Washburn series but haven't been able to put together all three phases of the game (pitching, batting, and defense).  However, Northwest is still playing .500 ball in conference with 12 of their next 16 games in Maryville for a play-off push in the home stretch of the season.  All but three of Northwest's conference games have been on the road.  I'm sure if you ask any coach or administrator before the season started if they would take the 'Cats playing .500 ball on all road games, they would accept it in a second.  The fact of the matter is the Bearcats are playing tough on the road and hanging in there for a play-off push with a bunch of home games to help make the run.
