Washburn

On April 3, 2013, Northwest lost game 1 versus the Washburn University Ichabods by a score of 7-2 as part of a double-header in Maryville.  With the win, Washburn's 2013 record advances to 6-19, 6-18 MIAA.  With the loss, Northwest's 2013 record falls to 9-22, 7-19 MIAA.

Offensively, Charlie Krueger, LF, was the only Bearcat to earn base hits in the game with his 2 for 3 performance at the plate and stole a base.  Ryan Abernathy, CF, went 0 for 1 on the day but scored a run, earned a walk, stole 2 bases, and earned a RBI.  JJ Baccari, C/1B, went 0 for 1 on the day but earned 2 walks in the game and stole a base.  In total, Northwest scored 2 runs off of 2 hits, 1 RBI, 3 walks, 5 strike-outs, and left 3 runners on base.

Defensively, Northwest committed one error in the game (Krueger) and did not execute a double-play.

Pitching, Austin Warren earned the start but had a tough outing and was tagged with the loss in the game to see his 2013 record fall to 1-5.  In the first inning, Washburn did not score any runs and Northwest scored one run with Northwest winning 1-0 after one inning.  In the second inning, Washburn scored 4 runs and Northwest did not score any runs with Washburn winning 4-1 after two innings.  In the third inning, Austin gave up back to back singles to open the inning with the lead runner being thrown out by Ryan Abernathy at 3rd base.  Warren walks the next batter and then Chase Anderson comes in to the game in relief.  In total, Warren 2.1 innings, allowed 7 hits, 6 runs (all earned), 1 walk, 2 strike outs, 1 wild pitch, 0 balks, and hit 0 batters.  The first batter Chase faces doubles to left center field and scores 2 RBIs (charged to Warren).  Chase walks the next two batters to load the bases.  Then, in an absolute clutch performance, Chase bears down and gets the next batter to strike out looking for the 2nd out in the inning.  The next batter lines out to the 2nd baseman to end the Top half of the inning where the Ichabods scored two runs to increase their lead to 6-1 heading into the Bottom of the 3rd inning.  Northwest does not score any runs in the Bottom of the 3rd inning to keep the game at 6-1 in Washburn's favor.  In the 4th inning, Washburn does not score any runs after Chase only allows a base hit single with two outs in the game before striking out the batter looking for the third out in the frame.  At the end of the Top of the 4th, Washburn led Northwest by a score 6-1.  Northwest did not score any runs in the Bottom of the 4th inning and the game remained 6-1 in favor of Washburn.  In total, Chase worked 1.2 innings, allowed 2 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks, 2 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and hit 0 batters.  Brian Schmiedt came into the game to start the Top of the 5th inning.  Brian hits the first batter he faces.  The 2nd batter gets a base hit single to right field and the runner advances to third base on the play.  The third batter gets a sacrifice bunt to the pitcher to score the runner at 3rd to force the first out in the inning.  The other runner advanced to second base.  The 4th Washburn batter struck-out looking for the 2nd out and the 5th batter hit a pop fly out to the Bearcat 2nd baseman for the 3rd out of the inning.  With the additional run, Washburn advanced its lead to 7-2 heading into the bottom of the 5th inning.  Northwest scored one additional run in the bottom of the 5th inning to close the gap to 7-2.  Neither team scores any additional runs in the 6th or 7th innings to conclude the game with the final score - Washburn 7, Northwest 2.  In total, Schmiedt worked 3.0 innings, allowed 1 hit, 1 earned run, 1 walk, 4 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and hit 2 batters.

Northwest won game 2 versus the Washburn Ichabods by a score of 9-0 as the final game of the double-header in Maryville.  With the loss, Washburn's 2013 record falls to 6-20, 6-19 MIAA.  With the win, Northwest's 2013 record advances to 10-22, 8-19 MIAA.

Offensively, Ryan Abernathy, CF, exploded for a terrific game with a 4 for 5 performance at the plate (including a home run), earning 2 RBIs and scoring 3 runs.  Brandon Huske, SS, went 2 for 3 (including a double) with a RBI and a run scored in the game.  Paul Johnson, 2B, went 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs, a stolen base, and a run scored.  JJ Baccari, C, went 1 for 2 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored.  Eric McGlauflin, DH, went 2 for 4 (including a home run) with 3 RBIs and a run scored.  Steven Garber, 1B, went 1 for 4 with a run scored.  Alex Singleton, RF, went 1 for 4 in the game.  In total, Northwest scored 9 runs off of 14 hits, 8 RBIs, 2 walks, 4 strike-outs, and left 6 runners on base.

Defensively, Northwest did not commit an error and did not execute a double-play.

Pitching, Rob Henrichs earned the start and the win to see his 2013 record advance to 1-1 in a stellar performance.  Neither team would score in the first inning resulting in a 0-0 tie.  Washburn did not score in the Top of the 2nd inning, but Northwest scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning to take the lead 4-0 after two innings.  Neither team would score in the 3rd inning keeping the score the same at 4-0 in favor of the Bearcats.  In the 4th inning, Washburn did not score any runs in their half of the frame but Northwest would add 2 more runs to increase their lead to 6-0 after 4 innings.  Neither team would score any runs in the 5th and 6th innings keeping the score at 6-0 in favor of the Bearcats.  In the 7th inning, Washburn did not score any runs but Northwest would add 3 additional runs in their half of the frame to increase their lead to 9-0 after 7 innings.  In total, Rob worked 7.0 stellar innings, allowed a mere 2 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks, 7 strike-outs, 1 wild pitch, 0 balks, and hit 1 batter.  In the Top of the 8th inning, Tyler Barth came into the game and did not allow a run.  In total, Tyler worked 1.0 inning, allowed 2 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, 0 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.  Northwest did not score any runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to keep the Bearcat lead at 9-0 heading into the top of the 9th.  Nathanial Horton came in the Top of the 9th to close out the game.  Hort did not allow a run and worked 1.0 inning, allowed 1 hit, 0 walks, 2 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.

Southwest Baptist

On April 5, 2013, Northwest traveled to Bolivar, Missouri, to play a 3-game series against the "Purple" Bearcats of Southwest Baptist.  Northwest played a single 9-inning game on April 5, 2013, and a double-header on Saturday, April 6, 2013.  On April 5, Northwest beat Southwest Baptist 16-3.  With the win, Northwest advanced its 2013 record to 11-22, 9-19 MIAA.  With the loss, Southwest Baptist's 2013 record fell to 11-18, 11-13 MIAA.

Offensively, Northwest exploded for the second game in a row by scoring 16 runs.  Brandon Huske, SS, led the way with his 4 for 5 performance at the plate (including a double and a home run), earning 4 RBIs, 1 stolen base, scoring 3 runs, and earning a walk in the game.  Eric Swain, 3B, returned to the line-up in a big way after healing an oblique injury and went 4 for 5 (including 2 doubles) with 7 RBIs and 2 runs scored.  JJ Baccari, C, went 2 for 4 (including a double) with a RBI, a stolen base, a walk, and a run scored.  Eric McGlauflin, DH, went 2 for 3 (including a double) with 2 walks, a stolen base, 1 RBI, and scored 3 runs.  Cameron Bedard, 2B, went 2 for 3 (including a double) with 2 walks and 3 runs scored.  Alex Singleton, PH/RF, went 1 for 2 with a run scored.  In total, Northwest scored 16 runs off of 15 hits, 15 RBIs, 10 walks, 5 strike-outs, and left 9 runners on base.

Defensively, Northwest committed one error (Huske) and did not execute a double-play in the game.

Pitching, Ryker Fox earned the start and the win to advance his 2013 record to 3-4 in a terrific athletic performance.  Northwest scored 1 run in the top of the 1st inning and SWB scored 2 runs in the bottom of the inning for a 2-1 SWB lead.  In the 2nd inning, Northwest would add 1 more run and SWB could not score any runs to tie the game at 2-2 after 2 innings.  Neither team could score in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th innings to keep the game tied at 2-2 heading into the top of the 6th inning.  In the 6th inning, Northwest scored 2 more runs and SWB did not score any more runs to change the game to Northwest's favor 4-2 heading into the 7th inning. 

In the 7th inning, the Northwest Gang Green infected SWB and scored 8 runs in the following manner:  Huske singled, Baccari doubles to score Huske, Durant reaches on SS error and Baccari advanced to 3rd, Durant advances to 2nd on a wild pitch, McGlauflin walks to load the bases, Johnson flies out for the 1st out, sacrifice and scores Baccari, Durant out at 3rd base in an attempt to steal for the 2nd out, McGlauflin stole 2nd base, Garber walked, Bedard walked to load the bases, Swain singles and scored McGlauflin and Garber, Swain advances to 2nd on the throw, SWB pitching change, Abernathy walks, Huske hits grand slam home run to score Bedard, Swain, and Abernathy, Baccari flies out to RF.  In the bottom of the 7th inning, SWB scored 1 run.  After 7 innings, Northwest leads SWB 12-3.  In total, Fox worked 7 innings, allowed 4 hits, 3 runs (all earned), 5 walks, 3 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.

In the 8th inning, Northwest scored 4 more runs to increase their lead over SWB to 16-3 heading into the bottom of the 8th.  In the bottom of the 8th, Tyler Barth came into the game in relief of Fox and did not allow any runs.  In total, Barth worked 1.0 inning, allowed 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, 1 strike-out, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.  Because of the 10-run rule, the game was over with the final score 16-3 Northwest.

On April 6, 2013, Northwest lost game 1 of the double-header versus SWB by a score 14-13 a heart-breaker 7-inning game.  With the loss, Northwest 2013 record fell to 11-23, 9-20 MIAA.  With the win, SWB's 2013 record advanced to 12-18, 12-13 MIAA.

Offensively, Northwest's bats exploded for the 3rd straight game to score 13 runs in a 7-inning game.  Ryan Abernathy, CF, went 3 for 4 (including a double and a triple) with 3 RBIs, scored 3 runs in the game.  Derek Meyer, C, went 3 for 4 (including a double and a home run) with 1 RBI and scored 3 runs.  Brandon Huske, SS, went 2 for 3 with 2 walks, 2 RBIs, a stolen base, and scored 2 runs.  Eric McGlauflin, DH, went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs, and a run scored.  Eric Swain went 1 for 3 (including a home run) with 3 RBIs, a walk, and a run scored.  Tyler Durant, RF, went 1 for 3 (including a double) with a RBI and a walk.  Charlie Krueger, LF, went 1 for 3 in the game.  Cameron Bedard, 2B, went 1 for 3 (including a double) with a run scored.  In total, Northwest scored 13 runs, off of 14 hits, 13 RBIs, 6 walks, 6 strike-outs, and left 6 runners on base.

Defensively, Northwest did not commit an error and did not execute a double-play.

Pitching, Marcus Garrett earned the start in the game but did not factor in the decision.  Neither team scored a run in the 1st or 2nd innings for a tied game (0-0) heading into the 3rd inning.  In the 3rd inning, Northwest scored 2 runs and SWB did not score any runs for a 2-0 Northwest lead after 3 innings.  In the 4th inning, Northwest did not score any more runs and SWB scored 3 runs to take a 3-2 lead after 4 innings.  In the 5th inning, Northwest exploded and scored 6 more runs to re-claim the lead at 8-3 Northwest heading into the bottom of the inning.  In the bottom of the 5th inning, Marcus ran into trouble and was charged with allowing 5 more runs after he worked 0.2 of the inning.  In total, Marcus worked 4.2 innings, allowed 5 hits, 5 runs (all earned), 2 walks, 3 strike-outs, 1 wild pitch, 1 balk, and hit 2 batters.  Blane Reutter came into the game in the 5th inning and did not record an out in the outing.  In total, Blane worked 0.0 inning, allowed 2 hits, 2 runs (both earned), 0 walks, 0 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.  Nathanial Horton came in the 5th inning to relieve Blane and recorded the final out in the inning.  SWB scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning and closed the Northwest lead to 8-7.  In the 6th inning, Northwest scored 4 more runs to increase their lead to 12-7.  In the bottom of the 6th inning, Horton ran into trouble and only recorded one out in the inning before getting pulled in favor of Tyler Barth.  In total, Horton worked 0.2 inning, allowed 0 hits, 2 runs (both earned), 2 walks, 0 strike-outs, 3 wild pitches, 0 balks, and hit 1 batter.  Barth closed out the 6th inning but not before SWB scored an additional 4 runs in the inning to close Northwest's lead to 12-11.  In the 7th inning, Northwest scored one more run to increase their lead to 13-11 heading into the bottom of the 7th inning.  In the bottom of the 7th inning, SWB scored 3 more runs to win the game in a walk-off by a final score 14-13.  In total, Barth worked 1.1 inning, allowed 6 hits, 5 runs (all earned), 2 walks, 2 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.

On April 6, 2013, Northwest won game 2 of the double-header versus SWB by a score 31-7 to win the series.  With the win, Northwest's 2013 record advanced to 12-23, 10-20 MIAA.  With the loss, SWB's 2013 record fell to 12-19, 12-14 MIAA.

Offensively, Cameron Bedard had "Playstation" stats following an exemplary performance in game 2.  Cameron Bedard, 2B, went 5 for 6 with 3 RBIs, 5 runs scored.  Charlie Krueger, LF, went 4 for 6 with 6 RBIs, 4 runs scored.  Ryan Abernathy, CF, went 4 for 5 with 4 RBIs, a walk, and 5 runs scored.  JJ Baccari, C, went 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs, a walk, 3 runs scored.  Eric McGlauflin, DH, went 3 for 7 with 3 RBIs, and 3 runs scored.  Brandon Huske, SS, went 2 for 5 with a RBI, a walk, and 3 runs scored.  Eric Swain, 3B, went 2 for 4 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored.  Tyler Durant, RF, went 2 for 3 with 4 RBIs, 1 walk, and 3 runs scored.  Luke Lawyer, C, went 1 for 1 in the game.  Paul Johnson, RF/PH, went 1 for 2 with a walk and 2 runs scored.  In total, Northwest scored 31 runs, 27 hits, 24 RBIs, 7 walks, 0 strike-outs, and left 7 runners on base.

Pitching, Chase Anderson earned the start and the win to advance his 2013 record to 4-4.  Northwest scored 5 runs in the 1st, 9 runs in the 2nd, and 8 runs in the 3rd inning.  SWB did not score any runs in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd innings, and Northwest led SWB 22-0.  In the 4th inning, Northwest scored 2 more runs and SWB scored 2 runs to change the score to 24-2 in favor of Northwest.  In the 5th inning, Northwest scored 1 more run to increase its lead over SWB to 25-2.  In the bottom of the 5th inning, SWB scored 5 runs after Chase recorded one out in the inning to close the gap to 25-7.  In total, Chase worked 4.1 innings, allowed 5 hits, 7 runs (only 3 earned), 4 walks, 7 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.  Patrick Brady came in the game in the 5th inning to record the final 2 outs of the inning.  After the 5th, Northwest led SWB by a score 25-7.  In the 6th inning, Northwest scored 6 more runs and SWB did not score any more runs to increase the Northwest lead over SWB to 31-7.  In total, Patrick Brady worked 1.2 innings, allowed 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks, 2 strike-outs, 1 wild pitch, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.  In the 7th and final inning of the game, Northwest did not score any runs.  Jacob Raffaele, a favorite of the B2R, came in the game in the 7th inning and closed out a game without allowing a run.  In total, Raffaele worked 1.0 inning, allowed 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks, 2 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.

William Jewell

On April 12, 2013, Northwest played William Jewell in a mid-week non-conference game in Maryville on a chilly Friday afternoon.  Northwest beat William Jewell 13-9 in a 9-inning game to advance its 2013 record to 13-23, 10-20 MIAA.  With the loss, William Jewell's 2013 record fell to 11-17.

Offensively, Eric Swain, 3B, was a hero with his 3 for 5 performance at the plate, including 2 home runs, 4 RBIs, and 3 runs scored.  Charlie Krueger, LF, went 3 for 5 (including a triple) with a run scored.  Ryan Abernathy, CF, went 2 for 4 (including a triple and a home run) with 4 RBIs, a stolen base, a walk, and 3 runs scored.  Brandon Huske, SS, went 2 for 2 with 2 walks, a stolen base, and 2 runs scored.  Eric McGlauflin, DH, went 2 for 5, with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored.  Steven Garber, 1B, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored.  JJ Baccari, C, went 1 for 4 in the game.  Paul Johnson, PH/RF, went 1 for 2 in the game.  Cameron Bedard, 2B, went 1 for 4 with a RBI.  Tyler Durant, RF, went 0 for 1 with a walk and a RBI.  Derek Meyer did not record an official at bat but earned a RBI in a sacrifice.  In total, Northwest scored 13 runs off of 17 hits, 12 RBIs, 4 walks, 5 strike-outs, and left 8 runners on base.

Pitching, Rob Henrichs earned the start but did not receive a decision in the game.  In the 1st inning, WJ scored one run and NW scored 4 runs with the Bearcats leading Jewell 4-1.  In the 2nd inning, Jewell scored 2 more runs and Northwest did not score any more runs to close the gap to 4-3 in favor of Northwest.  In the 3rd inning, Jewell scored 1 more run and Northwest did not score any more runs to tie the game 4-4 after 3 innings.  In the 4th inning, Jewell did not score any additional runs and Northwest scored 2 more runs to take the lead 6-4 after 4 innings.  In the 5th inning, Rob ran into a little trouble, but managed to record 2 outs in the inning, allowed Jewell to score 1 run, before getting pulled in favor of Blane Reutter.  In total, Rob worked 4.2 innings, allowed 9 hits, 5 runs (only 3 earned), 1 walk, 3 strike outs, 3 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.  Blane was able to close out the 5th inning without allowing any more runs.  Northwest scored 1 run in the bottom of the 5th.  After 5 innings, Northwest led Jewell by a score 7-5.  In the 6th inning, Jewell scored 1 run and Northwest scored 1 run to change the score to 8-6 in favor of the Bearcats.  In the 7th inning, Jewell did not score any more runs and Northwest scored 3 more runs to increase the Bearcat lead to 11-6.  In the 8th inning, Jewell scored 1 run and Northwest scored 2 runs to increase the lead to 13-7 in favor of the Bearcats.  In the 9th inning, Jewell scored 2 more runs to chase Blane out of the game in favor of Patrick Brady.  In total, Blane Reutter worked 3.2 innings, allowed 7 hits, 4 runs (all earned), 1 walk, 5 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.  In the 9th inning, Jewell did not score any more runs and therefore concluded the game in favor of the Bearcats by a final score of 13-9.  In total, Brady worked 0.2 innings, allowed 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks, 1 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.

Emporia State

On April 13, 2013, Northwest traveled to Emporia, Kansas, to take on the Hornets of Emporia State in MIAA action.  The Hornets and Bearcats played a 2-game double-header on the 13th, and played a single game on April 14, 2013.  In game 1 of the double-header, Northwest beat the Hornets 5-1.  With the win, Northwest's 2013 record advanced to 14-23, 11-20 MIAA.  With the loss, ESU's 2013 record fell to 22-15, 20-12 MIAA.

Offensively, Steven Garber, 1B, went 2 for 3 (including a double) with 2 RBIs.  JJ Baccari, C, went 2 for 4 with a RBI.  Abernathy, Huske (a double), Durant, McGlauflin, and Krueger all earned a hit in the game.  In total, Northwest scored 5 runs off of 9 hits, 3 RBIs, 0 walks, 7 strike-outs, and left 5 runners on base.

Defensively, Northwest did not commit an error and executed 1 double play.

Pitching, Ryker Fox earned the start and the win to see his 2013 record advance to 4-4.  In the 1st inning, Northwest scored 2 runs and Emporia did not score any runs to see Northwest take the lead 2-0.  Neither team would score any runs in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th innings, to keep the game at 2-0 in favor of the Bearcats.  In the 5th inning, Northwest did not score any runs and Emporia scored 1 run to close the gape to 2-1 in favor of the Bearcats.  The Hornets managed to chase Fox from the game after he recorded 2 outs in the inning (after he allowed the run).  In total, Ryker worked 4.2 innings, allowed 5 hits, 1 run (earned), 2 walks, 5 strike-outs, 1 wild pitch, 1 balk, and did not hit a batter.  Nathanial Horton came in the 5th inning to record the final out without allowing another run.  After 5 innings, Northwest led 2-1.  In the 6th inning, Northwest scored 2 more runs and Emporia did not score any more runs to increase the Bearcat lead over the Hornet 4-1.  In the 7th and final inning, Northwest scored 1 more run and Emporia did not score any more runs to result in the final score of 5-1 in favor of the Bearcats.  In total, Horton worked 2.1 innings, allowed 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, 3 strike outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.

In game 2 of the double header, Northwest lost 6-5 to Emporia State.  With the loss, Northwest's 2013 record fell to 14-24, 11-21 MIAA.  With the win, Emporia State's 2013 record advanced to 23-15, 21-12 MIAA.

Offensively, Eric Swain, 3B, continued his hot streak at the plate and went 4 for 5 (2 doubles and a home run) with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored.  Tyler Durant, RF, went 2 for 5 with a RBI and a run scored.  Derek Meyer, C, went 2 for 4 with a RBI.  Steven Garber, 1B, went 1 for 2 with 2 walks.  Ryan Abernathy, CF, went 1 for 4 in the game.  In total, Northwest scored 5 runs, 10 hits, 5 RBIs, 2 walks, 9 strike outs, and left 7 runners on base.

Defensively, Northwest committed one error (Meyer) and executed 1 double play in the game.

Pitching, Marcus Garrett earned the start but did not receive a decision in the game.  In total, Marcus worked 6.1 innings, allowed 6 hits, 4 runs (all earned), 3 walks, 6 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and hit 1 batter.  After 6 innings, Northwest was leading Emporia 5-4. 

Patrick Brady came into the game in the 7th inning, closed out the final 2 outs in the 7th, plus worked the 8th and 9th innings.  Emporia tied the game 5-5 in the bottom of the 9th inning.  In total, Brady worked 2.2 innings, allowed 3 hits, 1 run (earned), 0 walks, 2 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter. 

In the 10th inning, Northwest did not score a run and Emporia scored a run to win the game 6-5.  Austin Warren came into the game in the 10th inning and recorded one out before allowing the run.  In total, Warren worked 0.1 inning, allowed 1 hit, 1 run (earned), 1 walk, 0 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.

On April 14, 2013, Northwest lost game 3 and the series to Emporia State 10-6 in a 9-inning game.  With the loss, Northwest's 2013 record fell to 14-25, 11-22 MIAA.  With the win, Emporia State's 2013 record advanced to 24-15, 22-12 MIAA.

Offensively, Charlie Krueger, LF, went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs, a walk, and a run scored.  Steven Garber, 1B, went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, a walk, and a run scored.  Tyler Durant, RF, went 2 for 4 (including a home run)with a RBI and 2 runs scored.  Eric Swain, 3B, went 0 for 2 but earned 3 walks in the game.  Eric McGlauflin, DH, went 1 for 3 with a walk and 2 runs scored.  Paul Johnson, 2B, went 1 for 5 in the game.  In total, Northwest scored 6 runs off of 8 hits, 5 RBIs, 8 walks, 12 strike outs, and left 12 runners on base.

Defensively, Northwest did not commit an error and did not execute a double play in the game.

Pitching, Chase Anderson earned the start but picked-up the loss in the game to see his 2013 record fall to 4-5.  In total, Chase worked 3.2 innings, allowed 8 hits, 5 runs (all earned), 0 walks, 4 strike-outs, 1 wild pitch, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.  Brian Schmiedt came into the game in the 4th inning but did not record an out.  In total, Schmiedt worked 0.0 inning, 3 hits, 3 runs (all earned), 0 walks, 0 strike outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.  Blane Reutter came in relief of Schmiedt in the 4th inning and worked 2.1 innings, allowed 4 hits, 1 run (earned), 0 walks, 4 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.  In the 7th inning, with Northwest losing 9-3, Tyler Barth came into the game to work the final 2 innings.  In total, Barth worked 2.0 innings, allowed 3 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, 2 strike-outs, 0 wild pitches, 0 balks, and did not hit a batter.
