Jimmy McElwain, a 2013 Graduate from Platteview High School and Freshman at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. was asked last week to join the Bearcats baseball team. He attended their open tryouts and was recruited as a pitcher. Jimmy has played only Springfield baseball since starting with T-ball. He played 3rd, Outfield and Pitcher for Springfield Legion Post 143. He is excited to represent Springfield and Legion 143 at NWMSU. He is the son of Jim and Ginny McElwain of Springfield.
