Fall Practice 2015

Fall Practice 2015

Maryville, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats baseball team completed its Fall 2015 practice.  As is customary during the fall, seeing familiar faces of returning veterans plus meeting the new players for over 50 guys is the exciting part of the new school year.  As finals week and Christmas break approaches, the B2R will cover how fall practice went and introduce you to the team.

The Bearcats recently released the 2016 schedule.  You can find the entire schedule by clicking on this link:

The Cats head to Tennessee to start the season then head to Arkansas and conclude in Oklahoma.  Christian Brothers University in Memphis will be the Cats season opener for a 3-game series.  Northwest then plays Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, for one game.  After those four games, Northwest will travel to Arkadelphia, Arkansas to play Henderson State (1 game) and Arkansas Tech (2 games).  The Bearcats then travel to Edmond, Oklahoma, to play Oklahoma Christian University for three games.  That essentially concludes the non-conference slate for Northwest but for match-up with Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois.

Northwest starts conference play with a home series against Northeastern State in Maryville between February 26-28.  Home Conference opponents in 2016 include Northeastern State, Lincoln University, Nebraska-Kearney, Pitt State, Missouri Western, Southwest Baptist, and Emporia State.  Road Conference opponents in 2016 include Lindenwood, Washburn, UCM, Southern, Fort Hays State, as well as split series on the road at Missouri Western and Nebraska-Kearney.

As always, you can follow all Bearcat Athletics by going to bearcatsports.com.  While the B2R will continue to root for all varsity sports at Northwest Missouri State University, look here for supportive discussion on the Bearcat baseball team.

Go Cats!!
