Kansas City, MO - Northwest Missouri State University sophomore Ryan Abernathy was named MIAA baseball student-athlete of the week for the week of February 21-27 as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Abernathy, the Bearcats' Centerfielder, went 10 for 16 with 4 doubles, a triple and five RBIs on the Bearcats trip to Oklahoma last weekend. The Chesterfield, Missouri, native finished the weekend with a .700 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage.
