while ringing up six.
Matthew Hinkley helped the BJ Raiders pull ahead for the duration in the sixth inning. David Smith singled to start the sixth. He then went from first to second on a stolen base. Finally, Hinkley came to the plate with the game scoreless in the sixth inning and, scoring Smith.
The BJ Raiders were led by a flawless day at the dish by Smith, who went 3-3 against KC Barnstormers' pitching. He singled in the first, third, and sixth innings.
Nate has had a terrific summer playing for the BJ Raiders. Its great to see Nate get experience both at the plate and on the mound. In the NCAA 2012 season, Nate was a lethal bat off the bench batting .381 with a .519 OB%. Add in the terrific summer he's had fine tuning both pitching and batting, and the B2R expects huge things from Hort in 2013. Nate is no stranger to the weight room and he works very hard. It will be exciting to see how Hort does in the 2012 Fall Camp. With Hort's demeanor on and off the field, the B2R believes he can rally the guys to work together in life and in baseball.
Go Cats!!
