Carson was a valuable piece of the Mustangs bullpen in 2012 coming in during high leverage situations (runners on, no outs). In total, Carson was:

Carson is a great kid. He worked his bottom off this summer and gained a lot of valuable experience pitching against D1 and D2 talent. The B2R had the opportunity to get to know Carson this past summer. Carson was fantastic with Alex. He is also a driven kid looking to be the best baseball player. Having spent the entire summer working out and pitching, the B2R is looking forward to see how fall practice goes for Carson. Will he crack into a weekend rotation position? Be a 6-out reliever? Time will tell...Look for great things from Carson Smith in the 2013 NCAA season.
