Team's spiritual leader, Jake is simply put...THE MAN. The B2R spent most of the 2012 summer trying to score a broken game-used bat by #7 and my persistence finally paid off. Now autographed, it is proudly displayed at the B2R's mantle. To say I am a big fan of Jake Kretzer is probably the understatement of the world. Combine amazing talent with tenacious work ethic and a good dude mentality, sprinkle in adversity and overcoming odds, and you come out with Jake Kretzer. Simply put - Jake is a man's man. Jake enters the 2012-2013 season as a senior and will be a key contributor for the Bearcats this spring. For the Bearcats, he played Left Field or Center Field. In 2012 Spring NCAA season, Jake batted .302 for the Bearcats, scoring 34 runs, 48 hits, 9 doubles, 4 triples, 7 home runs, 35 RBIs, .541 slugging %, 9 walks, 15 hit by pitches, 45 strike-outs, .389 on-base %, 10/11 stolen bases/attempts, 1 outfield assist, and only 3 errors. Look for great things from Jake Kretzer on the field and in life. I'll summarize this analysis with one final thought: If there were more people like Jake Kretzer walking this earth the world would be a far much better place.
Go Cats!!
