"Hi! I'm 6'5", weigh 190 lbs. I live in Lone Jack, Missouri. I am currently a freshman at North Central Missouri College looking for a four year NCAA Division I or II school to play at after two years here. I was a varsity starter my freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year of high school. I played USSSA tournament ball from the time I was 8 years old to 14 years old. I made 2nd Team All Conference my freshman and sophomore year. I was also 1st Team All District my sophomore year. My recent school year (2008-2009), my record as a pitcher was 7-3 and made 1st Team All Conference and 1st Team All District. Our high school won the district championship! I believe that I can offer a team consistency on the mound and 100% effort all the time. I'd like to consider myself a leader of my high school team since our school was small and inexperienced. I am 110% dedicated to the sport of baseball! The sport has been my life and will always be. My dream is to play college baseball and to try my hardest in everything I do. I would like to take my skills that I've obtained in the sport to the highest level as possible. Going to school somewhere in the Midwest is my preference; somewhere close to my family. I would like to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) where I hope to work with injured athletes from time to time. I'm looking for a NCAA Division I or II school to play at. My family and I would like to receive scholarships/financial aid that will make it easier to pay for school."
Northwest's Steven Garber named Top 10 Prospect of Southern California Collegiate Baseball League
According to Perfectgame.org, an amateur baseball organization specializing in high school and college baseball matters published a Top 10 list of prospects for 2012 on Monday, August 27, 2012, and Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat Steven Garber was named the #7 prospect. Several NCAA D1 athletes are listed in the Top 10 list.
Summer Update - Steven Garber will be entering the 2012-2013 academic year as a Sophomore at Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats Baseball Program. Steven played mostly 1B or DH during his Freshman season in the 2012.
Cameron Bedard will be entering his senior and final year at Northwest Missouri State University. Cameron played 3B and 2B for the Bearcats during the 2012 NCAA season. Throughout Cam's career at Northwest, he has been Mr. Reliable and played 3B, SS, and 2B.
Both Cameron and Steven played for the Long Beach Legends of the Southern California Collegiate Baseball League during the 2012 summer season. Both Cameron and Steven had remarkable seasons for the Legends. First, let's look at Steven Garber:
In the summer 2012 season, Steven had a remarkable .351 batting average, started every game he played in totaling 47, scored 38 runs, smashed 60 hits, 13 doubles, 1 triple, and 0 home runs, 32 RBIs, .439 slugging percentage, 36 walks, got hit by 2 pitches, 24 strike-outs, had a remarkable on-base percentage of .467, was 2 for 3 in stolen bases, and fielding a remarkable .991 percentage.
Cameron also had a remarkable summer 2012 season, batted .288, started every game he played in (43), scored 32 runs, smashed 46 hits, 3 doubles, 1 triple, 0 home runs, 20 RBIs, had a slugging percentage of .319, 26 walks, got hit by 4 pitches, 29 strike-outs, had a remarkable .400 on-base percentage, and was 15 for 19 in stolen bases.
During the 2012 NCAA season, Cameron had a break-out offensive year. In total , Cameron had a .339 batting average, started every game he played in (only missed 1 game)(49), scored 39 runs, smashed 59 hits, 7 doubles, 1 home run, 26 RBIs, had a .397 slugging percentage, 31 walks, 5 hit by pitches, 34 strike-outs, on-base percentage of .448, and 8 of 11 in stolen bases. Cameron played either 2B or 3B in 2012.
In a true definition, Cameron is a professional. He goes about his business with a workman-like, lunch-pale, and hard hat mentality. Cameron doesn't let his emotions out, but make no mistake, he is watching every move his opponent makes, analyzing tendencies, tips, and looking for the unusual. He is very analytical in his approach, a student of the game, plays all-out all the time, and respects the game.
During the 2012 NCAA season, Steven made a significant first-year impact in the MIAA on behalf of the Bearcats. Steven appeared in all but 2 games during the 2012 season playing either 1B or DH. Steven scored 24 runs, smashed 37 hits, 8 doubles, 6 home runs, 35 RBIs, had a slugging % of .525, 21 walks, 4 hit by pitches, 20 strike-outs, .413 on-base percentage, 1 of 2 in stolen bases, and a .987 fielding percentage.
Steven is a soft-spoken guy. Doesn't say a lot. Very nice. Unassuming. But he has one of the smoothest strokes I have seen swinging the bat. Steven's swing looks near effortless. Steven keeps his emotions in check...doesn't get too high or too low. If you look at him, you probably couldn't guess if he just struck out or hit a home run. Steven is a hard working kid: the B2R has seen him working security at the NWMSU basketball games to help raise funds for the baseball team. Steven handles adversity extremely well. One of the B2R's missions in 2013 is to get Steven to open up ... now extreme measures may have to be used such as drenching Steven's meal from the B2R chow line with hot sauce then withholding the water bottles until information is adduced. Some people may consider that mean, I call it breaking the ice. All kidding aside, Steven is a heckuva baseball player. So is Cameron. Both represent their hometowns and the Bearcat Nation very well. Northwest is blessed to have them. Look for good things from Cameron and Steven in the 2013 NCAA season.
The B2R's crack investigative team found this video of Steven and Cameron from the summer 2012 Long Beach Legends time. Both are prominently featured.
Summer Update - Ryan Abernathy will enter the 2012-2013 academic year as a junior for the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats Baseball team. Ryan (B2R prefers to call him "Rhino") returns as a key offensive player and starting outfielder for the Bearcats in 2013. In 2012, Ryan started the year at Center Field but played the majority of the season in Left Field. Ryan earned a remarkable .378 batting average, started every game he played in, scored 49 runs, earned 71 hits, 17 doubles, 2 triples, 1 home run, 24 RBIs, had a .505 slugging percentage, a .445 on-base percentage, and 11 of 14 stolen bases/attempts.
During the summer of 2012, Ryan played for the Slippery Rock Sliders. Although the Sliders had a tough season, finishing with a League record 10-20, good for 5th place in the East Division of the Prospect League, Ryan had a remarkable season. He had a .286 batting average, scored 35 runs, smashed 61 hits, 9 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs, 24 RBIs, 20 walks, 32 strike outs, and 11 stolen bases. Ryan's play earned him a spot on the Prospect League's All-Star game where he went 1 for 1, plus a walk, 1 RBI, and a stolen base. Ryan even pitched a little (in an dog of a game where the team lost 30-3) and worked 0.2 innings, allowed a hit, 0 runs, and finished the year with a 0.00 ERA.
Ryan exploded on the scene in 2012 and was part of Northwest's offensive murderer's row with McGlauflin, Swain, Bedard, and Abernathy all batting .339 or above. Despite being a Cardinals fan, "Rhino" is a good dude. The B2R had a chance to meet his family during the 2012 NCAA season and it is a great family. Down to earth, blue collar, hard working family. Ryan is an intense player. Passionate about winning. Extremely talented. Despite what the MIAA baseball experts may say or think, Northwest will compete for the MIAA Conference Championship in 2013 because of guys like Ryan Abernathy. You can count in the B2R as a big fan of "Rhino" (we'll just have to agree to root for different Major League Baseball teams).
Summer Update - Eric Swain will enter the 2012-2013 academic year as a senior for the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats Baseball team. Eric spent the summer playing for Team Vegas of the California Collegiate League. In the spring 2012 NCAA season, Eric was the everyday starting shortstop for the Bearcats. An offensive Juggernaut, Swain had a 2012 NCAA season fit for the record books.
During the 2012 Summer, Eric played in a reserve role for Team Vegas. In total, Eric appeared in 25 games, had 47 official plate appearances, scored 9 runs, earned 17 hits, 3 RBIs, 5 walks, 12 strike-outs, 2 stolen bases, a remarkable .434 on-base percentage, a .404 slugging percentage, and an exemplary .362 batting average.
Eric doesn't say a lot but his bat speaks volumes. He played in a premier summer college wood-bat league and earned some quality work. Offensively, Eric is a professional baseball quality player for Northwest. The next step is for Eric to defensively get his fielding percentage up around .970-.989. You are talking All-American candidate if Eric could pull it off. The B2R wouldn't suggest it if it wasn't possible. Eric is filthy good. It will be exciting to see how Eric ends his Bearcat career in 2013. I've got a hunch it will not be the last time he plays baseball.
Summer Update - Chase Anderson, left-handed pitcher for Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats Baseball will be entering as a Senior for the 2012-2013 academic year. Chase is Northwest's reigning 2-time Pitcher of the Year having won the award following the 2011 and 2012 spring NCAA season. Chase spent the summer pitching for the Chillicothe Mudcats of the M.I.N.K. League (a summer college wood-bat league).
In 2012, the Chillicothe Mudcats finished 2nd in the M.I.N.K. North Division, 3.5 games behind North Division winner St. Joseph Mustangs. The Mudcats finished their 2012 M.I.N.K. record at 23-19 and advanced to the NBC Regional Finals held in St. Joseph (knocked off host St. Joseph Mustangs in the process).
In 2012, Chase appeared in 12 games, finished with 3 wins and 3 losses, earned a 2.77 ERA, started 5 games, earned 2 saves, worked 48.2 innings, 33 strike-outs versus only 11 walks. Chase started the year in the Mudcats bullpen but earned his way as a starter mid-way through the season. That is pretty typical Chase Anderson style where he spotted in a relief role only to outperform and excel and earn his way as a starter. Chase has done that every year at Northwest, too. During the Spring 2012 NCAA season, Chase started the year as the 4th Starter only to become the #1 starter by April. Chase is a great person, a fiery competitor, and great clubhouse guy. He's got team leader capabilities with a quiet confidence and work ethic to police the younger guys how to prepare their bodies and minds for MIAA baseball. The key originator of "Moustache March," Chase finds ways to build team morale and spirit. With so many pitchers expected to join the Bearcats baseball team this fall, I'm not sure where in the starting rotation Chase will begin the 2013 season, but I expect he will end the 2013 season as the Game 1 starter of the 2013 MIAA Post-Season Tournament.
Summer update - Chris Green signed with the Baltimore Orioles in the summer of 2012 and was assigned to the Gulf Coast League Orioles in Sarasota, Florida. Prior to signing with the Orioles, Chris spent the 2012 summer pitching for the St. Joseph Mustangs of the M.I.N.K. League college summer woodbat league. Chris was the Mustangs closer and appeared in 12 M.I.N.K. league games, worked 13.0 innings, allowed 7 hits, 3 earned runs, 7 walks, 15 strike-outs, 1 win, 3 losses, 3 saves, and a remarkable 2.08 ERA.
Chris appeared in 4 non-M.I.N.K. league games, worked 3.1 innings, allowed 1 hit, 0 earned runs, 2 walks, 5 strike-outs, and had a 0.00 ERA.
In the professional ranks, Chris has appeared in 2 games for the Gulf Coast League Orioles, worked 2.0 innings, allowed 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks, 5 strike-outs, and 0.00 ERA.
Nobody deserves a chance to play professional baseball more than Chris Green. Chris battled back from Tommy John surgery, rushed through rehab of his elbow, just to help out the 'Cats in the spring of 2012. Chris has a heart of a lion and worked his butt off for everything. Chris's devotion to his team is best summarized that he lived and breathed the slogan "Team above one's self." A lot of people can claim to put team first but few walk the walk. Chris repeatedly received praise from the coaching staff for his hard work. The B2R had the opportunity to get to know Chris over the 2012 summer. Chris was a real gem and acted like a protective big brother to little Alex. Count the B2R is a big fan of Chris Gren.
Summer Update - Carson Smith spent the 2012 summer pitching for the St. Joseph Mustangs.
Carson was a valuable piece of the Mustangs bullpen in 2012 coming in during high leverage situations (runners on, no outs). In total, Carson was:
W/L - 3/3
ERA - 4.79
Games - 23
IP - 41.1
K - 30
BB - 13
H - 49
Carson is a great kid. He worked his bottom off this summer and gained a lot of valuable experience pitching against D1 and D2 talent. The B2R had the opportunity to get to know Carson this past summer. Carson was fantastic with Alex. He is also a driven kid looking to be the best baseball player. Having spent the entire summer working out and pitching, the B2R is looking forward to see how fall practice goes for Carson. Will he crack into a weekend rotation position? Be a 6-out reliever? Time will tell...Look for great things from Carson Smith in the 2013 NCAA season.
Summer Update - Matt Johnson head coach of the St. Joseph Mustangs.
Matt Johnson finished his fourth season as manager for the St. Joseph Mustangs. Under Johnson’s reign as manager, the Mustangs are 140-69 with a Central Regional championship in 2010, MINK League Championship in 2011 & 2012, a 4th place finish in the NBC World Series in 2010, a top 10 finish in 2011, and a 5th place finish in the NBC World Series in 2012. The former assistant at Northwest Missouri State, Johnson was the hitting and catchers coach and the recruiting coordinator. The Sawyer, ND native comes to the St. Joseph Mustangs after 4 years of profession baseball experience in the Independent Leagues. Johnson played 2 seasons in the Northern League for the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks and the Allentown Ambassadors and one season with the Washington Wild Things in the Frontier League as a catcher. He finished his career as a relief pitcher for the St. Joseph Blacksnakes of the American Association. Prior to his profession career, he was a four-year starter at Valley City State University in North Dakota. During his college career, he earned three All-Conference, one All-Region and one All-American honor along with being named Dakota Athletic Conference Most Valuable Senior. Johnson is currently a full-time faculty member in the HPERD department at Northwest Missouri State University. Johnson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Valley City State University in 2001 and his Master of Science in Education from Northwest in 2004. He is currently working on his Doctorate in Philosophy. Johnson and his wife, Brenda, reside in Maryville. They were married in December of 2001 and have a 6-year old son named Jase and a 3-year old daughter named Brynlee.
In the summer of 2012, the St. Joseph Mustangs won the M.I.N.K. North Division by 3.5 games with an overall record of 28-17. The Mustangs won the 2012 M.I.N.K. Championship Series 2 games to 1. As a staff, the Mustangs had a team ERA of a remarkable 3.31, 28 wins, 17 losses, 6 saves, 266 strike-outs, 143 walks (almost 2-1 strike-out/walk ratio), 142 earned runs allowed, 386.2 innings pitched, 6 complete games, and 373 hits. During the M.I.N.K. regular season, the Mustangs batted .280 as a team with a .368 on-base percentage and a .380 slugging percentage.
Another year, another League Championship for Matt Johnson who is a true talent as a head coach and team administrator. His can-do attitude and exemplary work ethic are without equal in the B2R's opinion. I definitely see Matt being a very success NCAA head coach. Matt is also a small business owner having created a baseball academy in Maryville to teach proper fundamentals to the youth of the Northwest portion of the State. Only time will tell where Matt's collegiate head coaching carrer takes him. You can count on the B2R as a big fan of Matt Johnson.
Here is a recruiting video the St. Joseph Mustangs put together to attract talent. You'll quickly see why Matt is such a successful head coach.
Summer Update - Ben Stedronsky served as the pitching coach for the St. Joseph Mustangs in the summer of 2012. The Mustangs are a member of the MINK summer college woodbat league. A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Ben Stedronsky graduated from Lincoln Southwest High School in 2005 where he went on to play at Northwest Missouri State University from 2007-2010. He pitched out of the bullpen for the Bearcats and tallied 53 career appearances, which was 2nd in school history. He graduated from Northwest in the Spring of 2010 with a degree in Corporate Recreation and Wellness. His last summer of playing was spent pitching out of the bullpen for the Mustangs. That year the Mustangs won their first regional championship and also made their first NBC World Series appearance where they finished 4th in the nation. During the 2011 season, Ben was a volunteer assistant back at Lincoln Southwest where his team went 18-2 and won the city title. He was also the bullpen coach for the St. Joseph Mustangs. The team finished 42-12, won the M.I.N.K. league and went 2-2 in the NBC World Series. In 2012, Stedronsky was an assistant coach for the Western Texas College Westerners, where he worked with the outfielders and assisted with the pitchers and hitters. The Westerners placed 4th in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference with an overall record of 27-28 and made their first ever regional appearance in school history.
In the summer of 2012, the St. Joseph Mustangs won the M.I.N.K. North Division by 3.5 games with an overall record of 28-17 under 'Ronsky's expertise. The Mustangs also won the M.I.N.K. Championship 2 games to 1. The St. Joseph Mustangs finished 5th in the NBC World Series in August 2012.
The B2R is very proud of Ben's accomplishments during his time at Northwest and since graduation. Ben is making his own opportunities by hard work and proving himself. A fiery competitor, Ben's talent as a coach has me convinced he is going to be an exemplary head coach one day soon. Look for great things from Ben Stedronsky - a Bearcat.
Summer Update - Jayson Huett worked as the St. Joseph Mustangs Bullpen Coach for the 2012 summer baseball season. The St. Joseph Mustangs are a proud member of the MINK summer college woodbat league. Jayson Huett is from Huntington Beach, California. After high school, Jayson attended Cypress Community College in California. After Jayson earned his AA degree he transferred to Northwest Missouri State University to finish his career. Jayson graduated in the spring of 2012 with his bachelor science degree at Northwest in Physical Education and will become a teacher and head baseball coach. During the last two summers Jayson has played for well-known summer collegiate teams. After his junior year summer he played in the Northwood’s League for the Willmar Stingers in Willmar, Minnesota. After Jayson’s senior year he pitched for the St. Joe Mustangs. Huett earned pitcher of the year for the St. Joseph Mustangs in 2011. During the spring of 2012 while student teaching Jayson also worked at Hardball hitting facilities in Maryville as a pitching and hitting instructor. He also was the volunteer assistant coach for the Maryville High school baseball team as the pitching coach and first base coach.
In 2012, the St. Joseph Mustangs won the MINK North Division by 3.5 games with an overall record of 28-17 under Huett's expertise. The Mustangs also won the MINK Championship 2 games to 1. The St. Joseph Mustangs finished 5th in the NBC World Series in August 2012.
Huett is a remarkable talent with a burning passion for baseball. A fiery competitor, Huett will always be on the B2R's all-time baseball team because of his rubber arm, dominating performances, and passion to win. Huett's time as an assistant coach for Maryville High has been a tremendous plus for the local high school. The B2R hopes Huett will return to coach at Maryville in 2013. Regardless, at Northwest Huett was probably the most reliable and effective pitcher in the program's recent history. In the B2R's opinion, Huett's presence during 2010 and 2011 earned most of the Bearcat's victories those two years. A 3-inning save was the norm for Huey. It is clear after a very successful 2012 that Huett has a talent for coaching. I'm not sure where Huett's future will take him, but I hope its close enough I get to go watch him. Huett will make some school very successful if the school's administrators' have the foresight to hire him. Count me as a big Huey fan. The B2R tips his cap to Jayson Huett for a fine 2012 summer season.
Summer Update - Jordan Bischel, Assistant Baseball Coach (Pitching) for the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats. Jordan spent the summer working as the Head Coach of the Green Bay Bullfrogs Baseball Club, a member of the premier Northwoods League summer college wood-bat league. In 2012, the Bullfrogs finished the year 34-36, good for 5th place in the South Division (15 games back from Division winning La Crosse Loggers). The Bullfrogs came out of the gate firing on all cylinders and finished the first half of the season in 2nd place with a record of 22-13. But injuries and other bad breaks saw the Bullfrogs play inconsistently in the 2nd half to finish out the year at 12-23. Nonetheless, since Jordan's tenure with Green Bay, 33 of his baseball players were drafted in the Major League Baseball amateur draft. Its obvious Coach Bischel can recruit talent, then coach up talent, to the point of catching the eyes of professional scouts.
Despite being a Green Bay Packers fan, Jordan is also a great guy so don't let the cheese-head fool you. With that said, its a blessing to have Jordan coach at Northwest Missouri State and it will be great to see the success Coach Bischel accomplishes in his professional life.
Summer Update - #7 Jake Kretzer - Outfielder for the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats Baseball team:
Jake played Left Field and Center Field for the St. Joseph Mustangs and had a remarkable summer 2012 season. Jake played nearly every day for the Mustangs, who won the MINK League North Division Championship by 3.5 games, and won the MINK Championship 2 games to 1. The Mustangs finished 5th in the NBC World Series this past August. Jake played in 52 games, and his stats are as follows:
BA - .250
AB - 154
Runs scored - 26
H - 37
2B - 10
3B - 2
HR - 1
RBI - 23
BB - 19
K - 61
SB - 11
Outfield Assists - 8
Fielding % - .987
Team's spiritual leader, Jake is simply put...THE MAN. The B2R spent most of the 2012 summer trying to score a broken game-used bat by #7 and my persistence finally paid off. Now autographed, it is proudly displayed at the B2R's mantle. To say I am a big fan of Jake Kretzer is probably the understatement of the world. Combine amazing talent with tenacious work ethic and a good dude mentality, sprinkle in adversity and overcoming odds, and you come out with Jake Kretzer. Simply put - Jake is a man's man. Jake enters the 2012-2013 season as a senior and will be a key contributor for the Bearcats this spring. For the Bearcats, he played Left Field or Center Field. In 2012 Spring NCAA season, Jake batted .302 for the Bearcats, scoring 34 runs, 48 hits, 9 doubles, 4 triples, 7 home runs, 35 RBIs, .541 slugging %, 9 walks, 15 hit by pitches, 45 strike-outs, .389 on-base %, 10/11 stolen bases/attempts, 1 outfield assist, and only 3 errors. Look for great things from Jake Kretzer on the field and in life. I'll summarize this analysis with one final thought: If there were more people like Jake Kretzer walking this earth the world would be a far much better place.
Summer Update - #23 Charlie Krueger - P/DH/1B - enters the 2012/2013 academic year as a junior at Northwest Missouri State University.
Charlies spent Summer 2012 playing for the BJ Raiders of the Kansas City-based Ban Johnson League. Many thanks goes out to the B2R Investigative team for their tireless work in accumulating Charlie's stats so the Bearcat Nation can follow their favorite Charlie Krueger.

Charlie has had a spectacular summer playing in the Ban Johnson League. Charlie was an offensive beast coming off the bench in 2012 batting .370, slugging .556, and an on-base% .469. Charlie is a very talented pitcher but has battled injuries at that position. Charlies missed a little time last season due to an injury and rushed his way through rehabilitation very quickly. It remains to be seen if Charlie tries to give pitching another go in 2013. By all accounts, Steven Garber will have to play his way out of being the regular 1B. Charlie is a reliable glove defensively, but he simply knocks the compound hell out of the baseball when he's at the dish. The B2R is glad its not the coach trying to find playing time with so many offensive weapons like Charlie. I'll say this, Charlie is a great kid and I'm glad he's a Bearcat. He spent the summer working hard to get better and that's what I like to see. It will be an exciting fall camp for one Charlie Krueger to see where his talents are best utilized. I think Charlie has the makings of being All-Conference in 2013.
Nathanial Horton - Pitcher/Infield - enters the 2012/2013 academic year as a senior - played for the BJ Raiders in the Ban Johnson League in Kansas City in the 2012 summer and has been doing very well.

Here is a recent news story on him after a recent performance:
Horton leads the BJ Raiders to 3-0 victory thanks to six strikeouts
Nathanial Horton threw a shutout to lift the BJ Raiders to a 3-0 win over KC Barnstormers at LIBERTY HS in seven innings.
The BJ Raiders' Horton kept KC Barnstormers
off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched
a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits
while ringing up six.
Matthew Hinkley helped the BJ Raiders pull ahead for the duration in the sixth inning. David Smith singled to start the sixth. He then went from first to second on a stolen base. Finally, Hinkley came to the plate with the game scoreless in the sixth inning and, scoring Smith.
The BJ Raiders were led by a flawless day at the dish by Smith, who went 3-3 against KC Barnstormers' pitching. He singled in the first, third, and sixth innings.
Nate has had a terrific summer playing for the BJ Raiders. Its great to see Nate get experience both at the plate and on the mound. In the NCAA 2012 season, Nate was a lethal bat off the bench batting .381 with a .519 OB%. Add in the terrific summer he's had fine tuning both pitching and batting, and the B2R expects huge things from Hort in 2013. Nate is no stranger to the weight room and he works very hard. It will be exciting to see how Hort does in the 2012 Fall Camp. With Hort's demeanor on and off the field, the B2R believes he can rally the guys to work together in life and in baseball.
Kyle Brady - Pitcher - entering the 2012/2013 academic year as a sophomore or red-shirt freshman - spent the summer playing for the Natural Baseball Academy in the Ban Johnson League in Kansas City, Missouri. Statistics are only available through June 26, 2012, and are as follows:
IP - 9.2
GP -4
W/L - 0/1
ER - 10
H - 21
BB - 1
K - 5
HB - 3
ERA - 7.24
WHIP - 2.28
After not playing in the 2012 NCAA season, Kyle had to knock off some rust and get the blood pumping in live fire games. Its great to see him play and gain needed experience for fall camp where there are positions to be one on the weekend rotation and bullpen. The B2R's crack investigative staff returned from Kansas City to report the above findings.
In the mean time...kudos to Kyle for working hard this summer and, as always, ...
Patrick Brady - #17 - Pitcher - enters 2012/2013 academic year as a sophomore at Northwest Missouri State (Giddy UP!!) - summer update - Pitchers for the Milgram Mustangs of the Ban Johnson League in Kansas City...
Patrick has had a remarkable season for the Milgram Mustangs in 2012. First and foremost, Patrick was selected as a participant in the Ban Johnson League All-Star game which was played in Kauffman Stadium on August 5, 2012. After a look at Pat's statistics, you'll see why:
IP - 49.2
GP - 8
W/L - 4/3
Save/Save Opportunity - 1/1
H - 32 allowed
ER - 5 BB - 18 K - 59 (#2 in the League) WHIP - 1.01 ERA - 00.70 (#2 in the League)
Looks like Patrick will be rolling into fall camp at Northwest Missouri State University with the thought of becoming a regular weekend starter. With statistics like these, Patrick will be tough to beat out. More importantly, Patrick spent the summer working on his game so he can perform to the best of his abilities in 2013. This has the B2R doing fat-man cartwheels down Main Street in excited anticipation.
A B2R shout-out to Patrick Brady for exemplary athletic performance during the 2012 summer with the Milgram Mustangs.
