Bearcat baseball alum Zach Douglas deploys to Kuwait
Chillicothe, Mo - All-American Zach Douglas is deploying with his Army National Guard Unit this Thursday, February 9, 2017, for mission training and will then go to Kuwait until February 2018. Zach volunteered for the Army National Guard during his playing days at Northwest Missouri State. Zach continued his Army National Guard duties throughout college. Zach is what all is right about the United States of America. The Bearcat baseball team was lucky to have him. The Bearcat baseball team, fans, family, and friends will be thinking of Zach and keeping him in their prayers during his deployment serving our country.
Here are chronicled stories of Zach in the B2R:

Prayer for the Safety of a Soldier
Almighty and eternal God,
those who take refuge in you will be glad
and forever will shout for joy.
Protect these soldiers as they discharge their duties.
Protect them with the shield of your strength
and keep them safe from all evil and harm.
May the power of your love enable them to return home
in safety, that with all of who love them,
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
Zach wore #7. Here is the B2R's Ode to Zach Douglas:
