Vote Bearcat baseball legend Adam Bailey for the 2017 class of M-Club HOF
Maryville, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University Athletics Department announced fan voting for the 2017 class of the school's M-Club Hall of Fame is open and baseball legend Adam Bailey is on the ballot. Adam Bailey left a remarkable legacy with his playing days at Northwest Missouri State. Bailey has several school records for career production still standing in the entire history of Northwest fielding a varsity baseball team. With well over 1,500 student-athletes that played baseball for Northwest in school history, Bailey sits top 3 in most offensive categories. Here are the categories:
#3 career batting average with a minimum of 200 at bats at .398
#1 career home runs at 40
#2 career slugging percentage at .669
#3 career hits at 226
#1 career doubles at 56
#9 career at bats at 568
#2 career runs scored at 163
#3 career runs batted in at 147
#1 career total bases at 410
Adam Bailey has 2 of the 10 best season batting averages in the history of Northwest baseball. Bailey is #6 for hitting .417 in 2000 and #9 for hitting .409 in 2001. Bailey led the team in batting average in 3 of the 4 seasons he played at Northwest.
Adam Bailey has 2 of the 10 best seasons for home runs in the history of Northwest baseball. Bailey's 18 home runs in 2000 still stands as Northwest's single season record for home runs. Bailey also holds #5 for hitting 13 home runs in 2001. Bailey led the team in home runs in 3 of his 4 seasons at Northwest.

Adam Bailey played high school at Excelsior Springs High School in Kansas City. He was named 1st team All Conference, All Metro and All State in both his junior and senior years in high school. While he was at Northwest Missouri State, Bailey studied sociology and minored in criminal justice.
Adam Bailey played summer ball in the Ban Johnson league in Kansas City from 1998 to 2001. Bailey was named to the All-75 year team for his exemplary play representing him as the top 1% of the 5,000 players who have played Ban Johnson baseball over the years. Bailey played for the United Missouri bank team of the Ban Johnson league. Bailey won the league MVP award and batting title in 2000 with a .459 average. Bailey's UMB team won the Ban Johnson league title in 2000. Bailey's .459 batting average was one of the best ever marks in league history. Bailey hit a home run in the 1999 Ban Johnson league all star game held at Kauffman Stadium.
Among his teammates, Adam was nick named "Beetle" as in Beetle Bailey the comic strip.
His favorite player was George Brett and loves hot wings.
