B2R's Statistical Analysis: How MIAA Baseball Coaches snubbed Eric McGlauflin

Obviously I'm partisan.  I'm also an advocate.  The B2R reviewed the All-MIAA selections announced by the MIAA Conference on Thursday and I concluded three fundamental thoughts:

1.  The 11 other non-NWMSU baseball coaches need to pull their heads out of the sand & look at the performance by the player and not the name on the jersey;
2.  Cameron Bedard, Eric Swain, and Eric McGlauflin, got snubbed of legitimate and appropriate All-Conference recognition for All-Conference performances in 2012; and
3.  At least they got two right:  Ryan Abernathy & Steven Garber.

This is the 1st-part of a series how the B2R is analyzing the MIAA's All-Conference Teams selections.  First, the B2R looks at Eric McGlauflin:

Eric McGlauflin:

Look, I expect the coaches voting for the All-MIAA teams to act like they know what they are doing.  If the coaches cannot do even an elementary-level amount of research to see Eric McGlauflin was Top 6 in batting average and Top 4 in OB%, and when taken in totality of his other over-all performances, was deserving of ALL-MIAA 1ST TEAM SELECTION (or absolutely no worse then ALL-MIAA 2ND TEAM) considering Eric had a better overall statistical performance then the 1st team DH, and statistically dominated the 1st Team UT, and 2nd Team 3B, DH, & UT.

And All-MIAA 2nd Team DH Nate Ramler, Jr., Missouri Western:
Eric McGlauflin had a better 2012 season then Nate Ramler in 9 of 13 categories, plus played equal number of games.  B2R gives McGlauflin the edge on defense considering MoWest obviously felt Ramler's glove wasn't in its top 8.  Eric McGlauflin had to play baseball (defense is part of baseball), not just play batting practice like Ramler.
