"Carter exemplifies everything Valley Christian baseball stands for - combining a rare mix of superb baseball skill, leadership ability, hard work, and character," Valley Christian head baseball coach Kyle Smith said.  "Not only was he our most talented player, but he was our hardest worker, making him an absolute joy to coach. In fact, Carter often acted as a player-coach to his teammates, using his knowledge of the game to help develop others on the team. We wish him the best of luck and know that lots of success awaits him at Northwest Missouri State!"
